Only recently, it is becoming common in Japan, to use anticoagulants to prevent recurrent thrombo-embolic accidents frequently encountered during a time course of various kinds of diseases related with arteriosclerosis, especially in patients with myocardial infarction, with coronary insufficiency or with cerebrovascular insufficiency.
This paper will concern with results obtained through our clinical experiences in these respects in 77 cases in a total number, and also with some results from our experimental attempts to approach a mechanism of actions of anticoagulants on preventing recurrences of ischemic attacks.
