In vivo counting is a diagnostic technique by means of the external measurement of the intensity of radioactivity in vivo. The most common use of this technique, of course, is the I-131 thyroid uptake test. In recent years, however, elaboration of electronic equipment has produced many new instruments and several techniques with different isotopes and new tagged compounds have been adapted for in vivo counting.
This report is to introduce considerable values of new in vivo counting methods in clinical diagnosis.
