By means of Kavetzky's trypan blue method on 68 leprosy patients the authors studied the relation between the activity of reticulo-endothelial system and the main leprosy types. Simultaneously investigations were made about how this system was related with degree and stage of each types.
It was revealed that regardless of the type, degree and stage of leprosy, the activity of reticulo-endothelial system was found to be normal or rather enhanced in a large majority of the cases.
The results obtained in tuberculoid type was coincided with those of Prof. TopcyeB et al., however, the results obtained in lepromatous type were inversely proportional.
In regard to the reason of the contrary results seen in the latter type of leprosy, one could not draw a conclusion. But in our country for more than ten years, chemotherapy has been intensively performed, it seemed that a certain degree of recovery in the activity of reticulo-endothelial system had more or less relation with these unusual results.
