Disturbances of the ventilatory function by air pollution were studied for thirteen patients with pulmonary tuberculosis and the following results were summarized during the air pollution period.
1. Majority of them had cough and sputum in addition to the frequent infections to the common cold.
2. Obstructive ventilatory disturbance was identified with diminished percentage FEV, and MMF. However, no definite tendency was observed on VC and MBC.
3. No demonstrable correlation was proved between air pollution and X-ray findings.
