The experimental results indicate that the use of narcotics with Hydroxyzine shows most remarkable effect in the patients with gastric operation, and that in the patients with other operations the use of non-narcotics with Hydroxyzine shows much greater effect than the combined use with narcotics.
The experiment further reveals that Hydroxyzine had also been effective in vomiting which often accompany by the use of narcotics, in addition to that by the use of Hydroxyzine the least frequent medications of the lenitive drug after operation could properly fullfil the purpose.
In conclusion, Hydroxyzine shows an excellent efficacy as lenitive and sedative drug, and also there is no side-effect. Hydroxyzine, therefore, is an excellent drug for postmedication treatment and then it can reduce the consumption of narcotics used for operation, probably with a great significance
