Abstract
In rheumatid arthritis most patients desire eagerly to conquer their joint disabilities and walk themselves.
We reviewed here our orthopedic procedures given to 28 such patients in order to restore their ambulation.
After treatments of 22 patients, including 2 wearing crutches, got on their legs themselves, but the other 6 failed to do so.
Analyzing the results, it was concluded that in orthopedic procedures to R.A, joints conservative treatments or, as for operations, tenotomy of hamstrings or arthrodesis were moreuseful, while arthroplastic procedures to the weight bearing joints were less effective.
