Abstract
Case 1. A 23-years-old woman was admitted to this hospital in November 1970, because of fever, anorexia, a butterfly rash on her facies, bleeding and ulcerated lesions in the lip. Blood count showed pancytopenia, a hemoglobin of 11.2g%, R. B. C. 3.3. million/cmm, W. B. C. 1, 900/cmm, platelets 94, 000/cmm and reticulocyte 0.4%. The bone marrow showed marked erythroid aplasia.
Case 2. A 25-years-old woman was admitted in August 1974, complaining of excessive bleeding from the nose and the vagina. The platelet counts was 28, 000/cmm and bleeding time was over 15 minutes. The blood abnormalities of the two cases were corrected with corticosteroids.
