Abstract
Two cases of distal PICA aneurysm were reported. In both cases, initial symptoms were sudden development of headache and vertigo. Retrograde brachial angiogram dem-onstrated aneurysms arising from the distal portion of PICA. Neck clipping and trapping of aneurysms were done successfully. Clinical onset, site of aneurysm, complication with AVM and clinical outcome were discussed with a review of literature. There were 1) traumatic aneurysms of distal PICA in three cases (11%), 2) distal PICA aneurysms arising from choroidal arch in sixteen cases (39%), 3) distal PICA aneurysms complicated with AVM in seven cases (26%), and finally 4) the surgical results were good (86%).
