氣象的因子の肺結核患者に於ける喀血に及ぼす影響

By employing the so called “X-Test” system, a statistical survey was made on the relatonship between climatic changes and hemoptysis among patients admitted in the Hokkaido Second National Sanatorium during the year 1948. The results are as follows:
1) Hemoptysis is most frequently encountered during the month of December. April and May the “season of change of weather” come in next and October, March, June, Septmber, November, January, August, February, and July followed in the order of frequency.
2) Close relationship is noted between hemoptysis and change of atmospheric pressure.
3) No significant relationship was observed between hemoptysis and atmospheric temperature and humidity.
4) No marked relationship seems to be present between hemoptysis and the monthly average value of atmospheric pressure, temperature and humidity.
5) The passing of the “line of discontinuity” seems to have an influence in predisposing hemoptysis.
