Abstract
[Purpose] To investigate the inter-rater reliability of the devised isometric knee extension muscle strength measurement method. [Subjects and Methods] Subjects were 15 healthy adult female 4th grade students enrolled in a physical therapist training school. The inter-rater reliability between men and women was measured twice for each subject. After that, three groups of measured values were compared between the measured values of the devised measurement method (male examiner and female examiner) and the measurement method of only manual fixation without using a fixed belt.[Results] The inter-rater reliability ICC (2.1) was 0.856, and no significant difference was observed in the measured values of the devised measurement method (male examiner, female examiner). A significant difference was observed. [Conclusion].inter-rater reliability of the devised isometric knee extension muscle strength measurement method was good.
