Abstract

Operational modal analysis (OMA) is wildly used to identify the modal parameters of a vibration structure since it uses the response signals only and reflects the real boundary condition of the test structure. With the development of full field photogrammetry method, large amount of responses will be tracked at the same time, which will refine the OMA deeply. With disparate reference responses chosen, the correlation function-based method processes the random responses to yield the free responses, where the modal components in the free responses are different. In the context of modal analysis, the estimation of damping is always unreliable in experiment. To estimate the damping of test structures in a unanimous way, the poly-reference pole stabilization diagram is introduced in correlation function-based method in this paper. A simulation and an experiment are conducted to verify the feasibility of the method.
