Abstract
The Multi Function Peripherals, combining the functions of a copier, printer, facsimile, scanner, and filing equipment, are widely used in offices. Recently, the needs for energy saving to adapt to various environmental standards have increased. To come up to user's expectation, our company has paid its attention to the fusing system which consumes the 70% of whole system energy. We have used the Induction Heating for this system at the first time in the world. As a result, we have improved the equipment with shorter warming up time, and have saved a great energy by cutting the consumption energy on standby. Continuously, we have improved the fixing device of Induction Heating Technology by using Multi-Coils, and we have applied it to the high speed digital copier and the digital color copier. We have achieved highly energy saving to apply Multi-Coils system which enables to optimize energy consumption.
