Abstract
Recently the applications of inkjet technologies have been expanded to the industrial fields. It is important requirement that wide variety of usable inks and media can be used and that high productivity is achieved for industrial applications. A shear-mode piezo inkjet head has the most highly integrated nozzles among piezo heads which are hardly limited on the choice of usable inks. In this report the computational simulation analysis of fluid flow dynamics and drop formation process of the shear-mode piezo head are described. And features of shear-mode piezo head are introduced briefly.
