Abstract

Organic-inorganic hybrid flexible substrate and formation method of color filter by ink-jet printing (IJP) using latent pigment ink have been investigated for flexible displays. Organic-inorganic hybrid flexible substrate, which consists of ultra thin glass and organic film, has flexibility, high-strength and good gas barrier. Color filters were formed on the flexible substrate by IJP using solvent-soluble trichromatic latent pigment ink. Color filter patterning and color mixture are possible by this simple method. The color filter has good transparency and flexibility.
