Abstract

The rapid progress of the IJ printing technology achieved high image quality and increased printing speed. Accordingly, the quality required for the IJ photo paper has also changed. In recent years, the trend of product development of our IJ photo paper is roughly classified into two categories. The first is “product development” aiming to improve the primary quality such as ink absorption and optical density in order to keep up with the advances in printer technology. The second is “product development” to obtain features that haven't existed before. There is a high demand for IJ photo paper that can precisely reproduce the expressive and creative images among photographers and creators. In order to reproduce the softness, tone, depth and smoothness of the photo, we aim to develop the IJ photo paper with features, that appeal to the human senses such as the touch and texture. In this paper, we introduce our primary quality and the distinctive products developed by our company.
