Abstract

Brother's “At your side 2030,” the Brother Group's vision for FY2030, calls for expansion in the industrial field. And under CS B2024, Brother's mid-term strategy through FY2024 to achieve this vision, the company is promoting activities aimed at “evolving printing technology with inkjet at its core and expanding its range of applications” to create a “future business portfolio”.

The “WF1-L640,” Brother's first latex wide-format printer for sign and display applications, is a product that takes on the challenge of a new area by utilizing its in-house ink and print head technologies cultivated through the development of garment printers for printing on fabric.

The newly developed latex ink used in the “WF1-L640” realizes a wide color gamut and richly expressive colors, while at the same time being highly weather resistant and environmentally friendly as it is a water-based ink that can be used for outdoor advertising materials. It is an eco-friendly product that can be used safely in restaurants, educational institutions, medical institutions, etc.
