The paper describes the effect of error spread by the time interleaving and the frequency interleaving in OFDM modulation scheme taking account of the transmission bandwidth. This effect is analyzed using the transmission error pattern measured under multipath fading conditions reproducing by a fading simulator. Within the range of 300kHz to 1.5MHz, the effect of the frequency interleaving can almost be substituted for the time interleaving by adjusting its interleaving depth if the signal delay is permissible.
