A research on synchronization of real-time media transportation

Abstract

This paper describes our research on synchronization of real-time transportation of various media signals (compressed video and audio, etc.) between different clock networks. When accuracy of reference clocks is different from each other, we must convert bit-signal synchronization at the point where difference network is connected. We will specifically consider MPEG Transport Stream in this paper. In order to adjust the gap of different network clocks, we have tried to insert and delete the Null Transport Stream Packet.
