Deblocking Filter matched with the human visual system.

Abstract

We propose a new blocking artifact reduction technique that is appropriate for low bit rate DCT-based video coding. We use low pass filter (LPF) for each pixel to remove blocky noise. Several LPFs are switched adaptively according to the magnitute of motion. Quontization scale is also used to suppress the use of narrow LPF.
