We previously reported on a segmentation method using Voronoi diagrams. This paper describes performance improvement of the method and proposes a new adaptive interpolation technique, which uses an only mean value in each Voronoi region, in order to connect gray values more smoothly at region boundaries. Finally performance of the new method is evaluated in comparison with teh previous one.
