Abstract
In this paper, a 2-D motion vector detection image sensor based on the Local Parallel and Global Collumn Parallel (LPGCP) processing architecture is proposed. The LPGCP architecture in company with a compact layout of pixel, edge detection and memory can obtain a high processing speed while greatly eases the controlling signals. The size of block matching used in LPGCP block matching is 4×4 pixels and a search area of ±1 pixel around the intentional block at a high frame rate of 1000 frame/s.
