22-5 MPEG-2 AACステレオ主観評価試験とその結果

抄録

This paper reports the procedures and results of listening tests of the MPEG-2 Advanced Audio Coding (AAC) stereo coding conducted at NHK, in November-December 1997. These test results verify a high quality performance at bit rates of 128kbps for AAC stereo coding. The MPEG-2 AAC is applied to the digital BS (broadcasting satellite) television broadcasting of Japan, which will be started at 2000.
