Abstract
The issue on TV formats, i.e., "interlaced scan vs. progressive scan", is an urgent topic for the future TV systems, and the fusion of, or, the easy conversion between them should be eagerly purposed. For this purpose, the use of 30P pictures was proposed as "common intermediate scan". In this paper, the limit of allowable vertical resolution in each format is psycophysically, with various vertical motion.
