14-6 A Proposal of new AWSNR considering Local Complexity and Brightness of Picture (second report)

Abstract

In the previous report, the AWSNR, one of objective measure of coded pictures, improved the correlation with MOS from 0.83 to 0.85 by considering the local complexitry and the local brightness. In this report, we have token the observation field, which is subjectively remarkable area in a distorted picture, into account. From experimental results, it is found that the correlation becomes from 0.85 to 0.88.
