3-5 Development of microwave digital outside-broadcasting links using QAM-OFDM modulation scheme

Abstract

As HDTV broadcast technology has progressed, systems for transmitting HDTV program material have become increasingly important. We have developed experimental QAM-OFDM modem. That modem can transmit high-bit-rate data such as HDTV signals under the multi-path fading environments. This paper describes outline of the modem and indoor experimental results.
