Abstract
The author proposed the use of 30P/60I' pictures as "Common Intermediate Scan Format" for the fusion of, and/or, the easy conversion between various TV formats,i.e., interlaced scan and prograssive scan. Thisis now under eager discussion in the USA for post-production(though 24P instead of 30P is currently a main target) and called "segmented Frame". In this paper, desirable formats are discussed for the future TV systems, from these view points.
