Abstract
A COMS programmable gain amplifer(PGA) with analog white balancing is presented. The PGA enhances the SNR of video interface using a 10 bit A/D converter, compared with the digital domain white balancing. The floating point expression for auto-iris gain and white balance gain is employed for low-power and area-efficient design. A prototype chip with 0.6um COMS is implemented and successful operations of gain control and white balancing and confirmed.
