Abstract
Error patterns of 16/17(0,6/6) coded PR(1,2,2,1)ML system fpr perpendicular magnetic recording using double layred medium are studied. The error pattern which affects the performance in the PRML system in clarified by investigating the dominant error patterns in the PRML system.
