16-5 Development of Retrieval System for Broadcasting Program Information using MPEG-7

Abstract

Now, TV producers need a system, which can make them retrieve multimedia contents rapidly on their demand. But, it is not easy to retrieve the contents from heterogeneous database systems. We experimentally developed a database system for program production using MPEG-7 as content description interface, and verified that it was efficient to retrieve the content information from multiple databases.
