24-1 Novel Materials for the Imaging Devices of Next Generation

Abstract

Nano-crystalline silicon, which consists of nanometer-sized Si covered with SiO_2, and a mixture of polysilane and dye are promising materials for the imaging devices of next generation. These are clarified to show photoconductivity to the visible light. Since their spectral response is tunable, they can be used in filterless full-color imaging devices.
