Abstract
We propose a new electron emission type infrared light image sensor, which is used a principle of a field emission from a PZT thin plate. On this sensor as shown in Fig. 1, a PZT ceramic plate act field emitter and the Al is an anode electrode. The PZT plate was irradiated by infrared light in a vacuum chamber. From the experiment, anode current was lineally proportional to the incident infrared light power, and the principle of this sensor was confirmed. Using this principle, we fabricated prototype infrared imager. The PZT photocathode, a multichannel plate and a fluorescent substrate constructed this imager. An infrared light source was taken by this imager, and the picture is shown in Fig.5.
