Abstract
CMOS image sensors are expected not only for the low-power smart imaging devices but also for the high-sensitivity imaging devices. In this paper, we propose a method of the noise reduction using frame oversampling and a CMOS image sensor with non-destructive high-speed readout mode. The technique enables the integration of signals without noise accumulation. Simulation results show that the frame oversampling is very effective to reduce output amplifer noise and quantization noise of ADC.
