In this paper, we study on coding and transmission for US medical images using Moon JPEG 2000. It is effective in unusual diagnostic imaging to encode using ROI function. There are many other special functions in Motion JPEG 2000, for example scalable quality, scalable resolution, the coding, and so on. They are also effective in transmission of US medical images.
