We have developed a prototype of mobile phone which can receive Digital Terrestrial Broadcasting, which is carried out by adding a reception adaptor and software components to the commercialized cdma2000 1x EV-DO phone. This paper describes the detail of the software architecture, which consists of applications, middleware and tuner drivers for receiving and handling broadcast streams.
