Abstract
We utilised interframe differencing as a measure for crowdedness. As talking aloud in crowded space is perceived as socially questionable behaviour, this "awareness" information would help mobile users to avoid unnecessary annoyance to others. To this end, we evaluated the correlation between differential images and sense of crowdedness, and found the measure was useful.
