7-4 A Wide Dynamic Range Image Sensor Integrating Column Parallel A/D Converters with Column FPN Cancellation

A wide dynamic range image sensor with column parallel A/D converters which has a function of column FPN cancellation is proposed. Designed image sensor is utilizing burst readout multiple exposure (BROME) to expand its dynamic range. The offset voltage of an operational amplifier which is one of the most important component of column FPN is cancelled by using cross coupled connection during the signal sampling phase. The efficiency of this technique is verified from measurement results.
