7-5 Comparison of image synthesis methods using a wide DR image sensor with multiple exposure signal outputs

Abstract

In this paper, the comparison of image synthesis methods using a wide dynamic range (DR) CMOS image sensor with multiple exposure-time signals is discussed. A wide DR synthesis method using logarithmic compression in digital domain has a better image contrast than that with a piecewise linear synthesis method.
