We investigated the effects of color gamut, display luminance, and luminance contrast on the subjective image quality of mobile displays. Twenty-five subjects evaluated image quality of 15 mobile phone LCDs under indoor and outdoor lighting conditions by using paired comparison method. The results suggest that the image quality of mobile displays can be estimated by a multi-regression model incorporated luminance, color gamut, and contrast.
