In order to realize video monitoring and still picture storage for diversified video surveillance system market, the software-codec was developed, which enables simultaneous processing of MPEG-4, JPEG and G.726 (voice compression system). Especially by optimization of multitasking, real time processing was enabled by a single embedded processor with limited performance.
