We compared the image quality of organic light-emitting diode (OLED) displays to that of LCDs by means of quantitative measurements of image quality parameters and subjective evaluations. The results indicate that the black-level and contrast performances of OLED displays in wide environments are superior to those of the LCDs. For these properties, subjective image quality of OLED display is especially high for fireworks images.
