6-3 Characterization of the signal dependent noise in a digital camera and its removal by the nonlinear image-decomposition

Abstract

Previously, as the method to remove signal-dependent noise in a digital color camera, we have proposed a denoising method with the BV-L^1 nonlinear image-decomposition. We experimentally estimate the signal-dependency functions of noise's contributions to the decomposed components, and then the functions will be utilized for improving the denoising method with the BV-L^1 image-decomposition.
