11-8 A TOF Range Image Sensor Using Shifted Short Light Pulses

Abstract

In Time-of-Flight(TOF) range image sensors using periodical pulsed light, there is a trade-off between maximum range and range resolution. This paper proposes a technique for improving range resolution without reducing measurement range of the TOF sensor with shifted short light pulses. The technique is tested with an implemented TOF sensor.
