4-9 Enhancement of Robust Matting Method Based on 3D Model Feedback for Filtering Out Unwanted Regions

Abstract

In this paper, we propose a robust matting method for filtering out unwanted regions in silhouettes by dividing each silhouette into closed regions. This method features the AND-operation of shape from silhouette, projections of VH into each silhouette, and interative procedures. Experimental results show the effectiveness of the proposed method.
