3-6 Human Head Tracking Using a Fisheye Camera for a Viewpoint-Dependent Display System

Abstract

This paper proposes a viewpoint-dependent display system which gives pseudo 3D perception based on motion parallax. The system has a fisheye camera to detect position of an observer's head. Experimental results show that the mean-shift algorithm works well for human head tracking in video sequences with large lens distortion.
