Characteristics of Area Based Platforms' Organization and Activities Based on Regional Features

Based on the Comprehensive Analysis of 98 Area Based Platform Organizations in Japan

Abstract

Focusing on Area Based Platform, a type of community development in which the public and private sectors collaborate, this study aims to clarify the characteristics of Area Based Platform organizations and activities through classification and analysis based on regional characteristics, targeting 98 organizations selected for the “Public-Private Partnership for Town Center Revitalization Promotion Project,” a support project for this purpose. After clarifying the current status and actual conditions through a questionnaire survey, the results were organized into four patterns based on classification by regional characteristics. In addition, a comparative analysis of the organizations and activities of each pattern was conducted through a composite analysis.
