4-11 Fusion parameter extraction of saliency map from the saccadic latency in a visual search task

Abstract

An experimental method to extract optimal fusion parameters of saliency map is proposed. We conducted experiments of singleton search task and measured their eye movements to find a contrast that gives equivalent conspicuity among three features (orientation, intensity, color) from the saccadic latencies. An example of the fusion parameter calculated from the results is also described.
