6-9 Effect of Electrode Structure on Luminous Characteristics of Short Xe CCFL

Abstract

The authors have been developing high efficacy mercury-free cold cathode fluorescent lamp with auxiliary external electrode (AEE). In this study the inside electrodes were optimized and it is found that thinner and longer cathode (high voltage side) and thicker and shorter anode (ground side) are preferred for sleeve shape electrodes.
