10-5 Hard Color-Shrinkage Denoising Utilizing Inter-scale Dependence of Redundant Wavelet Coefficients

Abstract

This paper proposes a color-image wavelet denoising method with hard color-shrinkage utilizing inter-scale dependence of redundant wavelet coefficients. This paper experimentally demonstrates that our new method utilizing the inter-scale dependencies achieves a somewhat higher PSNR and removes wavelet-outlier artifacts more successfully than our previous color-image wavelet denoising method.
