Abstract
We developed a deployable offset reflector antenna with tensioned stainless mesh surface supported by radial ribs for prompt Satellite News Gathering (SNG). In this paper, we describe electrical and mechanical characteristics of a prototype mesh reflector antenna. The prototype antenna can transmit HD-video from most of the cities in Japan.
