抄録

In this paper, we propose a new method for generating watercolor-like images in which highly salient regions are accentuated. The method abstracts and simplifies images using mathematical morphology. A scale of a structuring element is defined according to the corresponding value of the saliency map. From the results of a user study, we confirmed that importance of reflecting the saliency to the morphological transformation.
